Download YouTube videos on your phone
The tool runs in a mobile browser, so you can save videos straight from your phone — no app, no APK, no account. Files land in downloads, from where they are easy to move into the gallery.
Download YouTube videos
Downloading to a phone without an app
All the work happens on the server; your phone only receives the finished file. That means no questionable apps from third-party stores and no granting them access to your storage, notifications and accounts.
Copy the video link in the YouTube app with Share → Copy link, open this page in your browser and paste the address. Within seconds the title, thumbnail and quality list appear.
For a phone, 720p or 1080p is normally plenty: on a small screen the difference from 4K is hard to see, while the file is smaller and faster. On a limited plan, start with 720p.
If you only want the sound — music or a podcast for the commute — choose MP3. That file is several times lighter than the video and does not waste mobile data.
Why it suits phones
No apps, no APKs: the browser already on your device is enough.
The file is saved by your browser's own download manager, alongside everything else you save.
Choosing 480p or 720p keeps the file small when the connection is slow or capped.
The same video can be saved as MP4 to watch or as MP3 to listen to.
Opening the saved video on a phone
On Android the file goes to the Downloads folder. Open it from the completion notification, from the browser's Downloads section or with any file manager. Most galleries pick up new videos automatically.
On iPhone, Safari downloads go to Files → Downloads. To get the video into Photos, open the file, tap Share and choose Save Video.
If storage is tight, pick a lower resolution or save audio only. A long 1080p video can take hundreds of megabytes, while its MP3 is a fraction of that.
Step by step on a phone
The same instructions work on Android and iPhone:
- 1Open the video in the YouTube app and tap Share → Copy link.
- 2Switch to your browser, open this page and paste the link into the field.
- 3Press Find video and choose an MP4 quality or the MP3 option.
- 4Press Download and wait — keep the tab open until it finishes.
If a computer is nearby
A computer handles bigger formats and faster downloads:
- 1Copy the video address from the browser address bar.
- 2Paste the link on this page and press Find video.
- 3Choose a quality up to 4K if the video offers it.
- 4Download the file and move it to your phone by cable or cloud if needed.
