Why does a video fail to download?

Usually because of the video itself: it is private or unlisted, age-restricted, unavailable in the server's region, or it is paid or a live broadcast. Those are out of scope for this tool.

Do you store my links and files?

A prepared file stays in the temporary cache only as long as delivery needs and is then deleted. Links are not tied to an account or published, and video addresses are never sent to analytics.

Is there a limit on video length?

Yes, a technical one: very long videos and very large files are rejected so a single request cannot occupy the server for too long. Ordinary videos, clips, lectures and Shorts are fine.

Can I download a whole playlist or channel?

No. One video is processed per request. If you paste a playlist link, only the video it points at is downloaded.

Videos are protected by copyright and YouTube's terms restrict downloading them. Only download what you have the right to: your own uploads, material you have permission for, or freely licensed content. How you use the files is your responsibility.

Quality, formats and privacy

Quality is bounded by the source. Nothing is upscaled: the quality list is built from the tracks the video actually has, so 480p never becomes 4K.

What to pick. 1080p is the all-round choice for phones and TVs; 720p is noticeably smaller and faster on mobile data; 4K only makes sense on a large screen and takes a lot of space.

Audio. MP3 suits music and podcasts: the file is several times smaller than the video and opens in any player, including car stereos and smart speakers.
